Anlässlich der 15. EuRA-Konferenz in Stockholm vom 25. bis 27. April wurde mir der erste EuRA-Award für „besondere Verdienste für die Relocation Industrie“ verliehen.
Hier die Begründung des EuRA-Geschäftsführers Tad Zurlinden – ausnahmsweise in Englisch:
“As the inaugural recipient of the EuRA Award for Exceptional Services to Relocation Helmut was honoured for tirelessly to promoting our industry, quality and pushing forward recognition of our unique service portfolios across the world. His professionalism, dedication to his staff team, his contribution to our association and his kindness, wise advice and calm demeanour have made him one of the most respected people in mobility today.
Helmut has made an immeasurable contribution to EuRA, as a council member and president. But his very significant contributions to EuRA were not the only reason for him receiving the award. His influence on our industry steps outside of our association and into the global mobility world. Helmut and his team have redefined the concept of destination services and where the benchmark of excellence sits. As a true statesman of our industry it was a great pleasure for me to represent the EuRA Council in presenting him with the inaugural Award for Exceptional Services to Relocation.”
Gern gebe ich dies weiter – sehr gern sogar, denn ich bin stolz darauf. Eine Wertung mögen andere vornehmen.
Ich kann Ihnen aber sagen, was ich empfunden habe. Diese Auszeichnung hat mich total überrascht. Ich wusste noch nicht einmal, dass eine solche Auszeichnung von EuRA überhaupt vorgesehen war. Und ich war nicht nur überrascht, sondern auch emotional berührt und sehr dankbar. Der Zufall will es, dass diese Auszeichnung zeitlich mit dem 25. Jahrestag meiner Tätigkeit in der „Relocation-Welt“ zusammen fällt. Seit dem 18. Mai 1987 war ich überzeugt, dass diese Branche etwas Besonderes bietet. Und so sind auch die Menschen, die in dieser Branche arbeiten: besonders. Beim Wachstum meiner Firma und bei der Führung der Mitarbeiter stand Qualität immer an erster Stelle. Mein Beruf und meine Pflichten wurden zu meiner Leidenschaft.
