14. What can we expect from RSB regarding communication?

1. You only have an office in Frankfurt. How do you manage to operate  in many other German cities?

Our concept combines efficient work-sharing and reliable performance. In our Frankfurt head office a team of consultant receives and processes the authorisations from our clients. It is their job is to keep the client informed on the progress of our services and to ensure its smooth running. One of their main tasks is to co-operate with the counselors, our local experts who take care of the expatriates. RSB has a network of approx. 140 counselors who work for us in more than 70 German cities as well as in the Austrian cities Vienna, Salzburg and Innsbruck.

2. What qualifications do your Counselors have?

We have strict selection criteria and invest much time in the selection of our counselors, as they are the ones who personally deliver RSB services. We look out for a professional and personal background which shows strong service orientation and international experience. Apart from speaking foreign languages our counselors have thorough knowledge of their local areas and the respective real estate market. Some of the skills of a counselor can be learned, but the most important elements must lie within the personality: reliability, conscientiousness and strong communication skills. It is as important to us as it is to our clients that our counselors are highly competent and remain calm in stressful situations.

3. How do you train your counselors and ensure your high quality standards?

The training begins at the very first interview, when we clarify the expectations and requirements we have regarding our counselors’ performance. We outline typical situations and also difficulties that may occur in this job. Before their first authorisations, new counselors are provided with detailed guidelines for their task. A further key-element of the training is the close co-operation between our counselors and the consultants in the head-office; continuous training on the job is offered via Web seminars. We have regional meetings and send out regular mailings and newsletters to further enhance our high quality service.

4. Why use a relocation service if we have our own HR department?

As an external service provider RSB can cover capacity gaps or areas of transfer management in which special know-how is needed, f.ex. in matters relating to rental agreements or authority regulations. We support your company and offer immediate availability. RSB requires no holiday, is never ill and always within reach whenever required. Our service is ideal for companies with many transfers as well as for those with only a couple of transfers, since they will not have to find out about all the necessary steps of a relocation process again and again.

5. Can you adapt to varying projects and requirements?

Since 1990 we have delivered our services to more than a thousand companies of all sizes and branches of trade. Mostly, we attend to individual transfers, but  we have also been in charge of a considerable number of group moves, when whole departments or companies change location. The specific situation and requirements of our customers are thoroughly talked through, so that tailor-made services can be offered in every single case. Our manifold experience in the field of group moves especially often leads to supporting our customers in developing company policies for their assignees. Being a member in the Global Network has also made us highly flexible in adapting to international standards and worldwide assignment policies.

6. How do you select partners for services which you do not carry out yourself?

In order to guarantee a service of the highest quality we only work with specialist co-operation partners. These can be intercultural trainers, lawyers, movers etc. Important criteria are long-standing experience, high competence and strong customer orientation. The positive feedback of our customers supports this concept. All of the services can be coordinated via RSB – a service which will not cause further costs for the customer.

7. If we wanted to send our employees to other countries, how could you help us?

RSB is a member of the Global Network, a world-wide network of relocation companies spanning the globe. Therefore, we are able to provide assistance to customers in more than 100 different countries and our client only has to deal with one contact person. The client gives the authorization to his contact person at RSB, he receives one central report and should he wish one central invoice.

8. Along which criteria are members of the Global Net chosen?

Members are chosen by international relocation management companies whose criteria are rather strict. Experience and quality performance are key factors, which we also evaluate after every single transfer.

The scope of services can vary from country to country, but the following services are offered by all members: Orientation Tours, Home Search, School Search and Registration as well as Settling-In Support. In some cases Immigration Services are carried out by lawyers offices. All Global Network partners treat their partners’ clients exactly as they treat their own.

9. Is it cost effective for us to authorise your company?

The fee that we charge for our services should not be considered as an additional expense. The significant cost savings and advantages for your company and your employees are as follows:

  • No own expenses for staff, office space and trainings (f.ex. immigration know-how)
  • Efficient house search, saving hotel and travelling costs and supporting swift integration of the employee (and his family) in new surroundings
  • Reductions of expenses due to professional and specialised market knowledge (f.ex. by negotiations of rent, deposits and estate agent fees)

The efficient support of employees and their families at the beginning of a transfer avoids frustration and efficiency in the new job. The costs for a  failed assignment can be a multiple of an annual salary. Thus, the importance of sustaining the employee’s ability to concentrate and perform efficiently and successfully can not be valued high enough.

10. Do you have a price list?

We do not have classical price list, but a structure of fees which we can flexibly apply to the individual situation of our customer. Differing framework requirements are taken into account, like f.ex. the volume of services, the complexity of a project or diverse other factors.

11. How do you ensure your neutrality and independence?

RSB commits itself to strict neutrality and independence, also in writing if the customer requires. We neither ask nor accept provisions of any kind. This, of course, also applies to our counsellors and their cooperation with estate agents, banks, insurances and craftsmen. This enables us to choose service providers from the whole market and base our cooperation entirely on the quality of their performance, thus also serving the interest of our customers.

12. Can you give us references?

We are happy to give you reference contacts of customers who have agreed to provide information on our service quality or other details. We prefer this method to providing a list of companies, since this would not show the volume, the duration of our service relation or the individual customer situation.

13. What characterises RSB?

RSB focuses on quality, continuity, reliability and a comprehensive service package … – in more than 70 cities in Germany with its own personnel and in more than 100 countries with cooperation partners. For specialised services we work with partners (f.ex. movers or lawyers) to be able to cover all relevant topics regarding a transfer. Since 1998 we have based our work on our own strict quality standards which were also inline with the standards of EuRA (European Relocation Association). RSB played a crucial part in the development of the EuRA Qualty Seal and was certified in April 2008. The EuRA Quality Seal is the first certification for the relocation industry worldwide.

14. What can we expect from RSB regarding communication?

We would like to answer this regarding language, processes and technical equipment: Our working languages are German and English. Other languages are spoken as well, but to ensure full transparency in back-up situations we keep with the English language in any written communication. Any kind of information given out to our customers is prompt, correct and sound. Our data base enables us to provide swift and competent answers at any time. Online Reporting is also available on request.
